1947 Halter Apron - $40

It took a while to find a vintage halter apron that was tempting enough to recreate and this one comes with an actual date: 1947 - just after World War II and the beginning of the baby boom generation.
After much tweaking of the original pattern it's ready!
The Halter Apron is the only full apron I make that has a waistband and a bodice that ties behind the neck. It's this tie-behind-the-neck feature that allows the apron to be adapted to most body types. Short or tall the bodice will adjust accordingly, creating a custom fit.
Described as "sexy" by two men on separate occasions, this apron is fun to wear and looks great. The double box pleats on the skirt give it a style and flair not expected in an apron.
As with all my aprons, the Halter Apron is made of pre-washed 100% cotton and bound with bias tape to cover all raw edges.
