20's Flapper Apron - $35

Anatomy of the Flapper Apron

Front

Picture
This is the apron that started me on the road of my vintage apron journey.

Cut on the bias, the fabric sweeps around the to the back leading to the apron strings, protecting those convenient hand-wiping spots on the derriere. This style is more forgiving for those of us with less than svelte figures though is in no way limited to the more ample body size.

Two handy, bias topped pockets catch the ever-present odds and ends of our lives and that's it -  no fuss -  just excellent coverage with smooth, classic lines.

One size.

Back

Picture
The rear view of this apron presents a totally different aspect from the front with a minimalist presentation. The front falls to just above the knee while the back rises to a subtle draping at the tie.

Like it's sister 40's rick rack apron, this apron has a comfortable over-the-head neck piece, which never pulls or causes discomfort with extended wear.

Actually, it's a closeup of the cute draping at the back of the apron. It adds a bit sass to the otherwise understated apron.

Bodice

The one piece apron creates a straightforward style with an uninterrupted flow of the flapper styling.

The bodice allows excellent coverage for those more buxom, protecting the clothing underneath from the splats and splatters of kitchen life.
